Customers had the opportunity to view Whiting Door's New and Improved CommandLIFT at the recent NTEA: Work Truck Show held in Indianapolis, IN, March 15th thru March 17th.
The improved Whiting CommandLIFT is engineered to give your driver the ability to control movement at the push of a button thru multiple key fobs or an available mounted switch option. This not only saves your driver from fatigue and increases door life, but ads extra security to protect your load from both theft and possible temperature fluctuations.

5/1/2013 - Whiting Celebrates 60 Years
In 1953, a customer pulled into the yard of a small garage door manufacturer in Akron, New York. He asked the owner, T.C. Whiting, if he and his sons Don and Lauren could fit a garage door onto his truck body. In 2013, the company that we know today is very different from what it was in 1953, but our core values remain the same: manufacturing quality products in the United States, and continuing to foster a culture that promotes innovation, viability and integrity.
As we celebrate our 60th year in business, we’d like to thank our customers, suppliers, Whiting employees and many others that have contributed to our success throughout the years.

We are excited to announce the hiring of Michael Winter as the new Whiting Area Manager for Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana and Michigan. Mike has over 28 years of experience in the transportation industry. Mike and his wife Rebecca reside in Grand Blanc, MI and they enjoy spending time with their children and grandson. We are pleased to announce the grand opening of our new manufacturing facility serving the West Coast. In April of this year, we successfully moved our operations in Rialto, California to our new plant in Ontario, California. Our new plant is newer and larger than the former facility and will enable us to better serve our customers. Thanks and job well done to all that helped in the move!

10/12/2011 - Director of Purchasing Retires after 43 Years
At the close of business on September 2, 2011, Bernie Meinweiser officially retired as Director of Purchasing after 43 years with Whiting Door. During that time, the company experienced remarkable changes in magnitude and through it all, Bernie was always able to adapt and meet Whiting's needs as they arose. Bernie's understanding of our business and of the requirements placed upon us by customers defined him a key player for Whiting throughout his entire career.
He will be missed, but his contributions will continue to factor into our success for many years to come. We wish Bernie a very happy and healthy retirement.

3/1/2011 - Plant Manager Retires After 40 Years
On January 14th, 2011, Plant Manager Dick Casseri officially retired after 40 years with Whiting. Dick served the company in many different capacities throughout his lengthy career, and his efforts have played a key role in Whiting's success and ability to serve our customers and employees. Many changes in the truck and trailer industries came about during Dick's tenure, and he adapted to every one of them with enthusiasm and commitment. We wish Dick a long and healthy retirement with many rounds of golf -- and thanks again for his dedication and commitment to this company; we are in a great position to take on the future because of his efforts.
1/24/2011 - ERP Upgrade
As of January 3, 2011, Whiting Door Mfg. Corp. has upgraded our business system to the latest version of ERP available. Our new system is expected to increase our responsiveness to customer needs and inquiries through improved traceability capabilities, quick look ups, flexible reporting and better labeling. In addition, a strong emphasis will be placed on real time transactions in order to provide customers with the most up to date information. Whiting's ERP upgrade will provide a platform to enhance existing functionality in many areas of our business and enable Whiting to grow and remain competitive as we look forward.
1/24/2011 - 3-Year Warranty Upgrade
Effective January 1, 2011 Whiting announces the door industry's first standard extended warranty beyond 1 year. Our new warranty covers our roll-up and swing door products for 3 years. No gimmicks, no small print, no pro-rating... just Whiting standing behind its materials and workmanship.
Whiting's products, processes and quality are backed by an International Standards Organization certification, ISO 9001:2008. This designation was achieved in 2003 and Whiting still remains the only ISO certified truck/trailer door supplier with a recognized quality system in the United States.

12/18/2010 - Paul Zola Celebrates 25 Years

Paul Zola completed his 25th consecutive year with Whiting Door on December 9, 2010. In 2009, Paul was honored by the ATA's TMC as one of that year's four "Recognized Associates," an award for many years of service to Whiting and to the truck/trailer industry in general.
Born and raised in Akron, NY, Paul left home for Hendersonville, TN in 1985 where he established himself as an Area Manager for Whiting. He continues with Whiting today representing the company in the southeastern United States.
Paul and his college-sweetheart wife Arleen have two children, Ashley and Michael. He is active in his church, Knights of Columbus, TMC, and NTEA. He played trombone for 27 years in a community band and enjoys golf, which he plays poorly.
12/17/2010 - Jim Messineo
Jim Messineo, 17-year veteran Whiting Area Manager for the northwestern United States, passed away suddenly on Friday, December 10th, 2010. Jim was vacationing with his wife and enjoying one of his passions – scuba diving – when his heart failed. He leaves behind his wife Barbara and was predeceased by their teenage son James in 1991. Aside from family and friends, Jim left his warm, friendly and upbeat style with hundreds of Whiting customers, stretching from Sacramento to Seattle and Boise to Denver.
A self-described "California flake," Jim followed the beat of his own drum, which always seemed to be a good thing for him and for our company. Jim's Facebook page sheds some light on his outlook; it reads: "Life is a challenge to be faced - it is not meant to be easy. You cannot understand what joy or happiness is unless you have overcome difficulty and hardship. Most importantly - laugh; at yourself and at life in general no matter what."
A good soul who could lighten anyone's day, gone too soon... RIP Jim.
